Toulouse Pitcher, Large
A pitcher in the shape southern France has used for water and wine since the 1700s: a pulled handle, a wide belly, a lip that pours without dripping.
Hand-thrown in clay for Sir/Madam in Sri Lanka, a foot tall and nearly a gallon deep, with the studio's printed mark on the underside and the slight variation that comes with work done by hand. Set it out for water and the table looks set; leave it empty on the counter and it does the work of sculpture.
A wedding gift for the couple who hosts. A new home for the family that needed exactly this.
