Scalloped Ceramic Trough, Tan
A shallow ceramic trough, 16.5 inches long and under 5 inches tall, with scallops running the rim. The proportion for a low centerpiece, the kind that lets people see each other across the table.
A light brown reactive glaze is brushed over the surface, so it pools and breaks differently on every piece. The scallops catch that variation along the edge and no two finish the same way.
It holds a low bank of baby's breath down the middle of a dinner table, a run of ranunculus on the console, a bowl of lemons when nothing is in season.
For the wedding registry. The friend who sets a long table. The housewarming where the dining room is still empty.
Hand finished ceramic, 16.5 by 5 by 4.75 inches. Opening 15.5 by 4.5 inches.
