A backgammon set that shelves like a book: a rigid case in soft neutral faux leather, with the board set into the lid and base.

Printworks builds it over a wooden box, with acrylic checkers seated in their own recesses so nothing rattles. Closed, it measures about eleven by eight inches. No animal leather.

Annette Gårdö and Patrik Westerdahl left advertising in Stockholm in 2017 to make the things they had been looking for and not finding. Their term for it is functional decoration.

A photo album handsome enough to leave on the table. A backgammon set nobody needs to put away before guests arrive. Album pages are FSC certified, acid free and heavy enough to hold a print flat.

We took the games first. They get left out on tables instead of shelved.

Ships from the shop in the West Village within one to two business days. Or collect at 555 Hudson: most pickup orders are ready within four hours and we hold them for seven days.
