A mustard velvet pillow with a deep ruffle pleated the full way around, the kind of edge that gives a chair a reason to be sat in.

The velvet turns the color of honey in afternoon light, and the ruffle adds structure rather than flourish. Twenty inches square.

For the bedroom that wants softer geometry, the couple whose new sofa needs a focal point, or a Christmas gift for the friend who decorates in color. Or for you, for the reading chair.
