Cream marble against deep green onyx: a handmade chess set that sits on the shelf as sculpture between games.

Both stones are natural, so the veining varies from set to set. The 13-inch board pairs with a three-inch king, and the set ships in a velvet gift box.

For the friend who learned chess from a grandparent. For the first apartment that needs one beautiful object. For the milestone birthday.
