A marble chess set, hand-carved. Brown marble and white marble playing pieces. The board is two solid marble blocks fitted together with a hidden storage compartment for the pieces.

The brown reads earthy and grounded against the cream white. Both stones are real, hand-cut, slightly variable from set to set. Classical contrast, the kind a chess board is supposed to have. The board has weight in the hand. The pieces have weight in the hand.
