Effortlessly chic: a letterpress friendship card for the compliment that should land the way it is meant.

Dahlia Press prints it in Seattle on a 1912 Golding Pearl platen press. Heavy cotton stock takes the impression and holds it, so the deboss is the artwork. Blank inside, with an envelope.

For the friend with the immaculate apartment and the better outfit. For the brunch regular. For a friendship that deserves something with weight.

Dahlia Press

Seattle, Washington, United States · Since 2008

Stephanie Clarke started Dahlia Press in Seattle in 2008, after a decade designing for commercial clients, Starbucks among them. She works on a press more than a hundred years old that she calls Pearl.

Her letterpress runs in her own studio, one color at a time. Letterpress pushes the ink down into the sheet rather than laying it on the surface, so the image sits slightly below the paper. You notice it in the hand before you read the front.
