Twenty-eight dark chocolate dominoes cast from 74% heirloom Mexican cacao by Casa Bosques in Mexico City. Two ingredients, cacao and organic cane sugar, dark and bitter in the right ratio. The kind that goes with a sip of mezcal or stays on the cheese board next to the membrillo.

The maker

Mexico City, Mexico

Casa Bosques started as a bookstore in Roma Norte, Mexico City. Rafael Prieto added chocolate, and it is now made between Mexico City and Brooklyn.

Two ingredients. Heirloom cacao and organic cane sugar, with no emulsifier and no vanilla to round off the edges. The beans come from small ranches in Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America, including a rare Criollo from a family farm in Chiapas.

The wrappers are an artist series. Lawrence Weiner did one.

Ships from the shop in the West Village within one to two business days. Or collect at 555 Hudson: most pickup orders are ready within four hours and we hold them for seven days.
