A single low pressed-glass tumbler from La Rochère, made in eastern France by a glassworks at it since 1475. Low, faceted, made for the hand. This is the glass that turns a splash of whiskey or a Sunday negroni into a small occasion, no bar cart required.

It carries real weight and the soft ripple of the press, and on the side, raised out of the glass, the Napoleonic bee, borrowed from the fabrics and rugs of an emperor with a weakness for beautiful things.

In clear, or in Émeraude, Olive, Bleu nuit and Aubergine, mixed on a tray or matched down the bar. For the host building a bar cart one good object at a time. For anyone who likes a little history pressed into the glass in their hand.
