Alicia Adams Alpaca

Millbrook, New York

Alicia and Daniel Adams were raising a young family outside Munich when Daniel came across a herd of alpacas in the Australian countryside. They moved to Millbrook, in New York's Hudson Valley, and started with fifteen alpacas on an eighteenth-century farmstead.

Alicia found that separating the coarse outer guard hair from the fiber beneath gave a far softer yarn, and that softness became the house signature. The throws are made fair trade by artisans in Peru.
